According to SOPs, blueprints, knowledge, foreman, and/or lead instructions, this role fabricates, assembles, and welds metal and steel components on a variety of trailers. Help other welders finish their trailers. Check welds to make sure quality requirements are being met. Assign additional tasks and support a team approach.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Use a Stop and Fix mentality to adhere to company policies and uphold all quality standards.
Keep your surroundings tidy and adhere to the company’s 5S + Safety Standards.
Plan layout and procedures by reading blueprints and drawings and taking or reading measurements.
Based on the requirements, choose the proper welding tools, configurations, and techniques.
Assemble parts for welding in accordance with the guidelines.
Use angle grinders to get the components ready for welding.
Use clamp pieces, fixtures, tape measures, levels, speed squares, and other tools to align components.
Weld parts in a variety of orientations (overhead, horizontal, or vertical) with manual or semi-automated welding equipment.
Weld parts and fill in gaps to prepare trailers and other components.
To find defects, test and examine the welded surfaces and structure.
Keep the equipment in a state that does.
