Job Description

To operate the filed equipment in the assigned production units of the MTBE complex, comprising of comprising of Butamer & PSA, Oleflex (including cold box), CCR unit, MTBE synthesis, ORU, CSP unit, OSBL facilities, and storage spheres to have safe and reliable plant operation. Regularly check the equipment/gauges / indicators, record parameter deviations, and report anomalies to the Process Controller / Shift Engineer.

Qualification skills Experience

Minimum Qualifications:

• Secondary School Certificate. A technical Diploma from a recognized institute is preferred.

• 7 years’ relevant plant operational experience as a field process technician in a large MTBE or MTBE-related petrochemical plant. Experience should include training in and exposure to the following areas of plant operations: Butamer & PSA, Oleflex (including the cold box), CCR unit, MTBE synthesis, ORU, CSP unit, and OSBL including storage spheres.

Required skills:

Thorough understanding of all relevant operational processes involved in various units of the MTBE production process.

Thorough knowledge of policies, procedures, and work permit practices.

Thorough understanding of field instrumentation.

Basic understanding of routine maintenance tasks.

Basic understanding of relevant operational control limits and tolerances related to world-size MTBE plants.

English Language (spoken and written)

Awareness of Health & Safety Systems

Knowledge of Quality Management Systems

Time Management

Knowledge of Environmental Management Systems
